Practitioners holding an active Mississippi license may provide teletherapy services to Mississippi residents.

Licensed professional counselors may apply for Distance Professional Services Provider privileges. Must take an exam and maintain additional continuing education per requirements listed. See Board of Counselors, # 8.

Psychology
Teletherapy included with state license. Must abide by all in-person care standards.
“Psychological services”, as they are defined, may be provided to individuals, families, groups, systems, organizations, and/or the public and are regarded as equal services regardless of the means of provision (e.g., face-to-face, telephone, Internet, or telehealth).
Social Work
Teletherapy included with state license. Must abide by all in-person care standards.
Marriage & Family Therapy
Teletherapy included with state license. Must abide by all in-person care standards.
Counseling
Teletherapy included with state license. Must abide by all in-person care standards.
