Teletherapy Guide for Georgia

General Guide (All Licensures)

Practitioners holding an active Georgia state license may provide teletherapy services to Georgia residents.

Prior to delivering telemental health services, licensees must obtain a minimum of 6 continuing education (CE) hours related to teletherapy.  For additional details see Georgia’s Telemental Health laws.

COVID NOTE: Out of state providers may provide services to clients who have temporarily relocated to Georgia during the pandemic. For Social Work, MFT, and Counselors see Rule 135-12-0.5; For Psychologists see  Rule 510-9-.02.
