MENTAL HEALTH TECH III - Full-Time NOC Float
Edmonds, WA
Compass Health is currently looking for a Mental Health Technician III for our Aurora House in Edmonds, which is the Residential treatment facilities serving adults with mental health disorders. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the MHT III is responsible for providing a combination of social, physical, psychological, vocational, and recreational services to strengthen and enhance the capability of psychiatrically impaired persons and to enable these persons to function with greater independence.
Our Residential Treatment Facilities (RTFs) serve adults age 18 and over diagnosed with severe and persistent psychiatric disorders. Services include assessment, psychiatric evaluation, medication monitoring, case management, counseling, groups, mental health education, crisis resolution, and skills training regarding activities of daily living. The program focuses on helping residents reach increasing levels of recovery in order to successfully transition back into the community.
What you will be performing
MHT III, as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, provides a combination of social, physical, psychological, vocational and recreational services to strengthen and enhance the capability of psychiatrically impaired persons and to enable these persons to function with greater independence.
What you will be carrying along
BA/BS/BSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field OR AA Degree and 2 years related work experience OR any combination of education and experience totaling at least 4 years and demonstrates sufficient knowledge and skills.
Defined knowledge and experience of counseling, rehabilitation, training, and treatment services provided to psychiatrically impaired adults.
Individuals who do not already hold a license or associate license through the Washington State Department of Health must submit Agency Affiliated Counselor upon hire and be approved by the DOH.
Current First Aid & CPR certification and Food Handlers permit, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Valid Washington State Driver's License required including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.
